Music by Daniel Avrahami
Music
Updated 4/21/05

I composed 'Lost Kid when I was in high school. Back then I played in a jazz band with Mattan Klein. To my great surprise and joy, Mattan, who is an incredibly talented musican, recorded 'Lost Kid' a few years ago.

Here are two versions of 'Lost Kid':

Lost Kid (live) - this is a live recording from Mattans recital for his graduation from Berklee College of Music

Lost Kid - from Mattan's CD 'Right There' (a beautiful CD)

Laximum - This piece was composed by Mattan. I decided to put it here because it's my favorite piece on his CD.

Danny Bar-Hava was the instructor of the jazz band that Mattan and I played in. Danny moved to the States, got a degree and later taught in the Manhattan School of Music. While there, he recorded another piece that I composed in highschool (Danny added a B part that didn't exist in the original). Danny named the piece "Daniel".

Daniel - with the beautiful voice of Betsi Lawrence

I recently met Odelia, a friend from middle-school, after not seeing her for almost 15 years. She gave me her demo CD (which was produced by Danny!), and on it she sings "Daniel"(!!)
Here it is:

Website for the Regina Gouger Miller Gallery

Miller Gallery Website     I designed the website for the Miller Gallery with Nerea Armendariz and SaeYeon Eun. Our main goals in designing the website were to reflect the different character of the gallery's three floors and to create a template that will allow a relatively easy process of creating new pages for new exhibitions, and moving current exhibitions into the archive.

"Guided Gesture Support in the Paper PDA" (UIST'01) - Presentation Slides

UIST Presentation     The paper described a template that we designed as part of the Paper-PDA project. This template allows high recognition of semi-structured strokes made on paper (you can find the paper in the publications section).
I created the slides in Director, mainly because I wanted to use animation for explaining how the template was created and how it works.

Reading: a short treatise

Reading: a short treatise     I created this piece as an assignment for Graduate Design Studio I. We were to use Macromedia Director to design a 30-60 seconds piece that illustrates one of the differences between reading on paper, and reading in the digital world.

there's more. I just need time to put it up...
