Jeffrey is a Senior Research Scientist at the Seattle Lab of Intel Research, the
exploratory research arm of Intel. His
research interests are in devices, services, sensors, and interfaces that help
computing can calmly fade into the background of daily life. Specifically, he
investigates sensor-enhanced mobile computing devices. He previously co-led
the Place Lab project. He has a BS in Computer Science from the University of Colorado and MS and PhD
degrees in Computer Science &
Engineering from the University of
Washington. When not doing research, Jeffrey is a professional ski instructor, whitewater rafter, and swiftwater rescue technician.
