Brief bio: I am a member of the research staff at Intel Research Seattle and a PhD candidate at the University of Washington's Information School. My research focuses on applying user-centered design to ubiquitous computing. My current focus is on developing persuasive technologies to encourage people to incorporate regular physical activity into their everyday lives. My prior research has included investigating privacy implications of location-enhanced technologies and developing technologies to help elders age in place. I previously worked in Silicon Valley, where my focus was on web design and usability.

I am a member of DUB at the University of Washington.
